Description
🏰 【 Winery Legend: Domaine Dujac (杜雅克酒莊) 】
Founded by Jacques Seysses in 1967, Domaine Dujac has rapidly ascended over the past few decades to become one of the most revered estates in Burgundy. Jacques, having apprenticed at the legendary Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, was deeply inspired by whole-cluster fermentation. In 2005, the domaine underwent a historic expansion by co-acquiring Domaine Charles Thomas, which granted them access to several prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels, including Les Beaux Monts in Vosne-Romanée. Today, under the stewardship of sons Jeremy and Alec, the estate continues its legacy of crafting elegant, complex, and highly age-worthy wines, standing as the vanguard of Burgundy's modern elite.
🌿 【 Terroir Soul and Winemaking Craft 】
Les Beaux Monts is a highly esteemed Premier Cru vineyard situated on the upper slopes of Vosne-Romanée, adjacent to the illustrious Grands Crus of Échézeaux and Richebourg. The terroir is characterized by shallow limestone and marl soils, which impart excellent drainage and a profound mineral tension to the Pinot Noir. In terms of viticulture, Domaine Dujac strictly adheres to organic and biodynamic farming practices to ensure the purest expression of the land. During élevage, the domaine is celebrated for its signature high proportion of whole-bunch fermentation. They avoid over-extraction and utilize a significant percentage of premium new French oak. This distinctive craft bestows this red wine with unparalleled spice aromatics, refined floral notes, and a silky yet firm tannic backbone.
📅 【 Vintage Analysis and Authoritative Scores 】
The 2015 vintage is widely celebrated as an extraordinary year in Burgundy. The warm and dry growing season provided abundant sunshine, allowing the grapes to achieve perfect physiological ripeness with thick skins and highly concentrated flavors. However, the true magic of this vintage lies in the Pinot Noir's ability to retain remarkable acidity and freshness despite the warmth. This resulted in wines of massive structure, mature tannins, and immense aging potential.
🏅 Score: 93-95/100 (Neal Martin, Wine Advocate)
"The 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts was showing some reduction on the nose, although there is clearly plenty of ripe red cherry and cranberry fruit underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a silver bead of acidity. This comes across as being very harmonious with good backbone; saline in the mouth with a persistent, peppery aftertaste that lasts for over a minute. This is simply a Beaux Monts from the top-drawer."

👅 Palate: Medium-bodied with tannins that are as smooth and refined as silk. The ripe red fruit flavors are perfectly balanced by a silver-bead-like precision of acidity, showcasing superb concentration, harmony, and a plump but never heavy mid-palate.
